Does one license cover both platforms?
Yes. The planned personal license covers the macOS build and the Windows build when it is released, for one user.
Does NOMEN require a subscription?
No. The public license is a one-time purchase for perpetual use of the purchased major version.
Can I index without a VLM?
Yes. Local CLIP indexing and document extraction work without Ollama. A VLM is optional for richer image descriptions.
Where are files stored?
Source files remain in their folders. Derived index data lives in <source>/__catalog__, and searchable keywords are written to native file metadata.
